Purpose of the Job

To provide reasonable assurance of the safeguarding and quality of the TRA information processing facilities and the availability and reliability of information for management support.

Major Activities of the Job

Assess and analyse risks pertinent to the organisations’ Information System.
Participate in drawing plans and programmes for Information Systems and audits
Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of the Information Systems controls
Conduct audit tests and procedures necessary to establish compliance with Information Systems operating practices and standards
Follow-up on the implementation of previous Information Systems audit recommendations
Document appropriate work papers and audit evidence.
Prepare audit findings data sheet.(

Minimum Job Requirements

Qualifications

Advanced Diploma or University Degree in Information Systems / Computer Science or its equivalent from a recognised Institution.
Plus a Professional certification in CISA, SISM or be ready to attend course to attain CISA or SISM on appointment to the position
Professional Accounting qualification such as CPA (T) or ACCA or its equivalent would be an added advantage.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

VOLUNTEER POSITION - FLEET MANAGER

We are seeking applicants for the role of Fleet Manager based in
Arusha, Tanzania at The School of St Jude. The School of St Jude is a
charity funded school that provides quality education to approximately
1,500 primary and secondary children from the poorest communities in
Arusha. St Jude’s runs a fleet of 20 distinctive and colorful buses
that ferry our students and staff to and from the school each day. The
buses are an integral part of the schools operation, and scheduling
and maintaining the fleet is a challenging task. We are looking for an
energetic person to take on this role. The school has its own garage
where ongoing maintenance is carried out. A commitment of at least 2
years is expected.

LOCATION: Arusha, Tanzania

Key Responsibilities:
◦Hands-on role managing day-to-day activities including:
◦Sourcing parts
◦Overseeing maintenance work
◦Scheduling buses for daily trips
◦Training local Tanzanian staff to carry out maintenance work
◦Supervising 21 drivers and 4 mechanics

Required Qualifications and Experience:
◦Experience in managing and maintaining a fleet of diesel vehicles.

Skills:
◦Confident with strong inter-personal and communication skills
◦Patience and tolerance
◦Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a challenging
environment

ESTATE MANAGER


OPPORTUNITY
For
AN EXPERIENED ESTATE MANAGER
Required for a
Large Residential Estate,
Usa River area, Arusha Region.

The Requirements for Candidates.

  1. Only Tanzanian Citizens should apply..
  2. A minimum of 10 years in a similar position, or on a large agricultural estate
  3. A good command of written and verbal English.
  4. An extensive knowledge of the management of estate matters on an estate of this description.
  5. Long experience of working with security companies and their employees.
  6. Management of public areas: roads, electric fences, building maintenance and etc.
  7. A sound knowledge of agricultural machinery, its working and maintenance.
  8. Competent computer skills in Word, Excel and Quick Books.
  9. Sound knowledge of accountancy. Including budgeting and management of budgets..  
  10. Considerable experience and an excellent record of motivating, working with and controlling rural workers.
  11. A very sound knowledge of the labour laws of Tanzania and long experience of liaison with the relevant authorities
  12. Long and successful experience of working with all relevant Government officials including the Regional and District authorities, the Police and Village committees.
  13. The ability to deal diplomatically with the residents of the estate.
  14. A valid driving license.

It must be understood by the successful applicant that this is senior position. In such a position the work will not be limited to the aspects set out above, the holder of the position will be expected to constantly deal with the unexpected . Frequently work will extend beyond normal working hours and often into normal days off.

Reporting.  
The successful applicant will report to the Board of Directors.

Emoluments.  A generous salary befitting a person capable of undertaking the work aspects set out above. 28 days paid leave per annum. A medical package will be offered.
