World Vision Tanzania is seeking to recruit suitable qualified Tanzanian citizens to fill the following positions.

Job Title: Secure the Future Site Project Coordinator

Reports to Programme Coordinator
Location: Makindube ADP

Purpose of the Position
To coordinate and take lead in the implementation of Market Led Agriculture Production Consortium program activities in the ADP as per World Vision Policies, donor standards and procedures to attain quality project performance.

Major Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance, mentorship and direction to ADP communities and key partners on Market Led Agricultural Production (MLAP) consortium program, including technical assistance in the form of program/project activities for quality and sustainable development.
  • Performa consultative and technical work in planning, development and implementation of Market Led Agricultural Production (MLAP) program in the ADP
  • Lead facilitator in Market Led Agricultural Production (MLAP) program and other participatory exercise that promotes MLAP
  • Take lead in networking and collaboration with government extension workers, village government leaders, ward executive’s officers, ward counselors, schools local institutions and other key partners within the ADP areas
  • To mobilize and facilitate sensitization meetings to communities and provide support to farmers groups and strengthen their Association/cooperatives (including support on registration at different levels within the government structure)
  • Coordinate the proper implementation of projects as per annual operation plans and other planning documents.
  • To ensure that child protection standards are adhered to and they are adequately integrated in MLAP consortium progam.
  • To facilitate village Government meetings and Coordinate meeting of extended ADP Committee.
  • Coordinate and support government extension workers engagement in project activities and their training at ADP level
  • Facilitate selection of Village Agricultural Facilitator (VAF) and provide support to VAF’s and development of demonstration centre (farmer’s field schools) in each village.
  • Participate in tailor-made in house training for VAF/Para Vet and refresher courses basing on the agricultural season with the ADP/Cluster.
  • Prepare quality and timely monthly, quarterly and annual projects narrative and review financial reports.
Qualification
  • Bachelor degree in Public Economic Development, Sociology, and Agriculture from recognized or accredited University with 3 years working experience in programming.
  • Preferred: masters in Economic Development, Sociology, Agriculture

  • Demonstrated Ability in monitoring and supervision
Experience working with donor funds
  • Working knowledge of proposal writing and negotiation skills
  • Good planning and organizational skills

Job Title: Commodities Manager

Location: Dodoma Warehouse

Purpose of the position:
To lead the Warehouse team, manage the warehouse operations and provide technical support towards successful operation of the commodities (Food and Non food items) as per Food Programming and Management Group (FPMG) procedures and donor requirements.

Major Responsibilities
  • To ensure that Food and Non food commodities/GIK are received, stored, dispatched and recorded as per FPMG procedures and donor Standards
  • Facilitate capacity building on –roper commodities management among Warehouse staff and other stakeholders.
  • To assist in commodities proposals and budgets development
  • Effective communication with line management, networking with donors, other partners and key role players on commodities related issues.
  • Review Commodity Tracking System (CTS) Reports and ensure timely and quality report submission.
  • Undertake periodical Warehouse activities monitoring field visits, inspection particularly during food distribution/dispatched.
  • Ensure proper and accurate documentation and filling of commodities documents/reports
  • Facilitate preparation and smooth execution of commodity Audits and ensure immediate implementation of audit recommendations.
  • Ensure that performance management is practiced within the department to enhance performance smooth staff relations and accountability.
  • Expense control and monitoring of activities as per approved agreement and budget.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor Degree in Materials Management and Accounting/Economic Development/Human Nutrition/Agriculture from recognized or accredited University.
  • Experience: Supervisory and or managerial experience of 3 years in Humanitarian organization in related field
  • Preferred: Postgraduate in materials management, accounting and economic development

  • Food and non food commodities tracking timely and accurate reporting, monitoring and analysis skills
  • Good planning and organizational skills

  • Food commodities loss prevention/mitigation and reporting skills
  • Working knowledge of commodity management, humanitarian emergency supplies procurement services and accounting with Word Vision added advantage.

Job Title: Senior Education Officer
Location: Kigoma-Nyarugusu Camp

Purpose of the position:
To coordinate all education services in the camp from pre-primary education to post primary education by working in partnership with Refugee Education Coordinator, assisting and encouraging the education Team to identify community needs and responses and develop activities to meet project objectives.

Major Responsibilities
  • Support the Refugee Education team in meeting project objectives by liaising with the counseling, advising and facilitating.
  • Share technique expertise with the Refugee Education team and assist in arranging teachers training, recruiting and updating refugee personnel status
  • Work closely with the Team leader to ensure that education team has the necessary resources for the activities within the budget available.
  • Assist the education with the Team to ensure that education team has the necessary resources for the activities within the budget available
  • Ensure the proper management of departments resources
  • Work with refugee education team to set objectives, plan activities, outputs and monitor their expected outcomes in ways which combine the needs of refugee, agency, donor requirements and available resources.
  • Attend team meetings and interagency meetings as requested and make follow up on actions required
  • Work closely with other NGOs in areas of the specially or technical issues
  • Ensure the team leader is well informed on developments and any difficulties experienced in meeting project objective and assist in problem solving discussion.
Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree or Advanced Diploma in Education from any recognized Tanzania institution
Experience: A minimum of two years experience in education field
